Devocional 79  —  La Mano de Dios

«Y sabemos que a los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, esto es, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.» Romanos 8:28

José fue vendido como esclavo por sus propios hermanos, falsamente acusado de violación y encarcelado durante años sin que nadie interviniera. Si hubieras podido ver solo los primeros treinta años de la vida de José, habrías concluido que Dios había abandonado a este joven. Pero el ultimo capítulo de su historia revela algo diferente: todo lo que parecía destrucción era en realidad preparación. «Vosotros pensasteis mal contra mí, más Dios lo encamino a bien» (Genesis 50:20). La mano de Dios estaba presente en cada momento solo que invisible.

Romanos 8:28 no dice que todas las cosas son buenas,  dice que todas las cosas ayudan a bien para los que aman a Dios.

Hay una diferencia enorme.

• El abuso no es bueno.
• La enfermedad no es buena.
• La traición no es buena.

Pero en manos de Dios, pueden ser usadas para producir algo bueno en nosotros o a través de nosotros. Eso no lo hace conveniente lo hace significativo.

Ver la mano de Dios en las circunstancias difíciles requiere perspectiva que el tiempo da y la fe sostiene. En el medio de la tormenta, rara vez ves el propósito. En retrospectiva, casi siempre se revela. Y con experiencia suficiente de caminar con Dios, comienzas a confiar en el propósito incluso antes de verlo.

¿Hay algo en tu vida ahora mismo que no entiendes, que no tiene sentido, que parece un error o un abandono? La mano de Dios no siempre es visible pero siempre esta activa. Confía en el narrador, aunque no puedas ver el final del capítulo. Él ha terminado bien cada historia que ha comenzado.

Recuerda: «No entender lo que Dios está haciendo no significa que Dios haya dejado de actuar.»

Oremos: Señor Dios, cuando no puedo ver Tu mano, ayúdame a confiar en Tu corazón. Que la historia de José me recuerde que Tu siempre tienes el ultimo capitulo. Confió en Ti hoy. En el nombre de Jesús. Amen.

«And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.»

Romans 8:28

Joseph was sold as a slave by his own brothers, falsely accused of rape, and imprisoned for years with no one intervening. If you could have seen only the first thirty years of Joseph’s life, you would have concluded that God had abandoned this young man. But the final chapter of his story reveals something different: everything that appeared to be destruction was in reality preparation. «You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good» (Genesis 50:20). The hand of God was present in every moment — only invisible.

Romans 8:28 does not say that all things are good — it says that all things work together for good for those who love God. There is an enormous difference.

Abuse is not good.

Illness is not good.

Betrayal is not good.

But in God’s hands, they can be used to produce something good in us or through us. That does not make them convenient — it makes them significant.

Seeing the hand of God in difficult circumstances requires the perspective that time gives and faith sustains. In the middle of the storm, you rarely see the purpose. In hindsight, it is almost always revealed. And with enough experience of walking with God, you begin to trust the purpose even before you can see it.

Is there something in your life right now that you do not understand — that makes no sense, that seems like a mistake or an abandonment? The hand of God is not always visible, but it is always active. Trust the Author, even when you cannot see the end of the chapter. He has brought every story He has begun to a good ending.

Remember: «Not understanding what God is doing does not mean God has stopped acting.»

Let us pray: Lord God, when I cannot see Your hand, help me to trust Your heart. May the story of Joseph remind me that You always have the final chapter. I trust You today. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
