THE LAZY PERSON
FRIDAY mARCH 9TH 2018
Ezekiel 11-13 James 1
“ Lazy Person, How long do you have to sleep? When will you get up of your sleep? Some sleep, some dozing, AND crossing a little the hands for rest; That way will come your need like walker, AND your poverty like armed man.” – Proverbs 6:9-11

A lazy person is defined somebody as inert, inactive, of slow-going, habitually indolent and lazy motion. One of those words signifies slowly, of motion, slow-going. In the book of Proverbs, the silly one characterizes himself for bad habits and attitudes, but the lazy person characterizes himself principally for the poverty of your activities.

There are four basic aspects about the profile of a lazy person. In the first place, the lazy person characterizes himself not to take initiative. Although there are things to make, the lazy person remains lying-down, to sleep a little more, crossbreeding the arms to get some rest. Rest is important, but it should be conceived within the context of the work. The lazy person always is postponing what for tomorrow he can make today, since the present comfort matters most for him, than the work to make. The problem is that the future never comes for the lazy person.

Secondly, the lazy person does not conclude any what he makes. “The lazy person introduces his hand in the dish; He gets tired of leading to his mouth.” (proverbs 26:15) Si the lazy person gets to initiate something, easily loses impulse and interest of what he started. The lazy person leaves the adrift things and never takes them to his logical conclusion.

The third aspect is that the lazy person never is willing to assume or confronting challenges. The lazy person the only thing that sees are obstacles and when it is in front of them, easily he is beaten. “The lazy person’s road is riddled with thorns»(Proverbs 15:19). The lazy person says: “The lion is in the way; The lion is in the streets»(Proverbs 26:13). The problem are not obstacles, but the attitude in front of them, the lazy person always will think that the best is not to confront obstacles and simply letting sleeping dogs lie.

In fourth place, the lazy person is a person that does not believe things. The lazy person dreams, but never carries out nothing successfully. The lazy person desires a lot of things and receives nothing, because everything wants to get it at the expense of the other ones. The lazy person all day long passes it himself coveting, but the fair dah with generosity. (Proverbs 21:26). The lazy person desires; The fair dah. Ésto,, most of all exposes the lazy person’s heart.

We cannot change our past, but definitely we can change our future, concentrating our attention in the present. If we are in Christ, he is our Lord, and in the day of judgment we will wish to hear that he tells to each one, Well, good serf and follower (Matthew 25:23). Ésto implies a change in our heart that allows Mr. Jesus entering the depth of our frustrations, which in general are the cause of our laziness. When we let that Jesus begin to act in us to become the person that he wants us to be, we will see the things from a different perspective… His perspective, and when making it we will not have better motivation.
PRAYER: Beloved Lord, there are days that I need a push of motivation. Help me to focus on Ti and in what Thou want me to be. Thank you, Loord.
IN ORDER TO REFLECT: Is it my life like the one of the lazy person?, And if so, What is the best way of solving it?
