Contristar significa infligir o experimentar intenso duelo o profunda tristeza.

¿Qué contrista a Dios?

SADDENING the HOLY SPIRIT
Tuesday March 13th 2018
Lamentations 3-5 Hebrews 10:19-39
And not sadden to the Holy Spirit of God, the one that you went with sealed for the day of the redemption. – Ephesians 4:30

It is possible to have been sealed by the Holy Spirit and however continuing consenting things in our life that they sadden you. Saddening signifies inflicting or experiencing intense mourning or deep sadness. Mourning is an only combination of emotions as much positive like refusals. Anger and the disappointment are involved in mourning, but also are it love and gratitude. Saddening or experiencing mourning make reference to a mix of love irefully. 6:6 read in Genesis “ AND Jehovah of having made man in the land, repented and he felt pain in their heart.” The above indicates to us that God has emotions. It is a revelation that he does of himself. God also becomes sad and he has pain in His heart.

What saddens God? In Ephesians 4:26-27 Pablo says, “ Get Angry, but do not sin; Do not put on the sun on your anger, neither give place to the Devil.” Anger carries our sin, since he becomes bitterness, and bitterness is anger that has been kept in our inside and that has poisoned our heart. In regard to the things that cause God’s anger, it is necessary to understand that are things that can sadden the Holy Spirit and not causing anger in us. All things of God are virtue, including anger. That’s not to say that there is something badly with God, but there is something badly with us, when we do not have that fair anger about the things that cause God’s anger, such like injustice, the oppression, the avarice and the dishonesty.

Pablo points out that the anger, slander, fights and malice also sadden the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:31). Equally he makes reference to falseness and he tells us that we should strip ourselves of our old man, which is corrupt conform the delusive desire. If we are not honest with the other ones, it is because we have not been honest with ourselves. When we hide behind the lie and falseness, it is because we have not enough humility and or the value of being honest. Isaiah 28:15 says: “….Because we have put our refuge in the lie, and in falseness we will hide.” In this chapter, Isaiah reveals that God’s coming himself will be, by way of a flooding in our lives, who will wash the lie and our lie.

If we sadden the Holy Spirit, Your presence in us becomes blurred, Your power diminishes and Your blessing absents himself. Logically, our Christian life will stop being experiential and it will become a boring and dry life. Are we saddening the Holy Spirit? Is there any barriers in us that handicaps him to act with complete freedom? If our Christian life is not advancing and we felt discouraged, then we should confess that that we know in our heart that is saddening the Holy Spirit. Let’s pray in order that in the strength of Christ, may knock down the barriers, allowing the complete freedom to to act as what he has to make in our lives the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER: Beloved Lord I Request to you that you concede me Tu strength to surpass the barriers that can be saddening the Holy Spirit in my life.
