Ezequiel 37-39 | | 2 Pedro 2
“El fin de todo el discurso oído es este: Teme a Dios, y guarda sus mandamientos; porque esto es el todo del hombre.» – Eclesiastés 12:13
Salomón, ya como hombre viejo, deprimido y cansado, contempló y reflexionó profundamente acerca de sus esfuerzos y logros, así como del grado de contentamiento que había alcanzado en su vejez. Salomón concluye que todo, absolutamente todo, es vanidad, y es como correr tras el viento; sin embargo, a través de las penas y grietas de una vida vivida bajo el sol, una vez más la sabiduría divina resurge en Salomón.
Salomón añade otro punto interesante: «Acuérdate de tu Creador antes que se rompa el cordón de plata y se quiebre la vasija de oro, y se estrelle el cántaro contra la fuente y se haga pedazos la polea del pozo. Volverá entonces el polvo a la tierra, como antes fue, y el espíritu volverá a Dios, que es quien lo dio.” (Eclesiastés 12:6-7).
Cinco de estas seis imágenes son acerca de descomposición;
• el cordón de plata roto,
• la vasija de oro quebrada,
• el cántaro estrellado contra la fuente,
• la polea del pozo destrozada,
• el retorno del polvo a la tierra.
Salomón está hablando acerca de morir. Todo lo que es material perecerá excepto nuestro espíritu, el cual regresará a Dios, quien lo dio.
El escritor de Hebreos dice: “Y así como está establecido que los seres humanos mueran una sola vez, y después venga el juicio,…” (Hebreos 9:27).
En ese día, la mayor preocupación será la condición en la que nuestro espíritu retorne a Dios. No tendremos nada de nuestra propiedad para aportar; lo único que tendremos será la justicia de Cristo que fue atribuida a nosotros por el Espíritu Santo.
Salomón, un hombre bendecido con el don de la sabiduría, buscó intensamente el significado de la vida, primero con Dios y luego separado de Dios.
Al final, Salomón llega a una irrefutable conclusión:
“Acuérdate de tu Creador… porque esto es el todo el hombre».
La razón por la que creemos en un creador es porque Dios se ha revelado a sí mismo en la creación, en la Escritura, en nuestra conciencia y en Jesucristo.
Abraham Lincoln escribió: «Yo nunca contemplo las estrellas sin sentir que estoy viendo el rostro de Dios. Puedo entender que un hombre mire la maldad en la tierra y sea ateo, pero no puedo concebir que un hombre mire al cielo y diga: “No hay Dios”. La realidad es que Dios nos creó; Él nos conoce y nos ama, y Eclesiastés 3:11 dice que Él ha puesto eternidad en nuestros corazones. Lo anterior, nos está diciendo que la verdadera vida va mucho más allá de esta existencia terrenal; algo mucho más grande, fuera de nosotros; una verdadera vida con la que necesitamos conectarnos.
«Acuérdate de tú Creador» concluye Salomón, y no hay nada más que debamos buscar, porque es Dios quien es eterno, y es únicamente Dios quien llena ese doloroso abismo en nuestra vida, y quien provee el camino que conecta esta existencia terrenal con la verdadera vida.
ORACIÓN: Amado Padre Celestial, gracias por haberme creado y por proveerme el único camino a la vida eterna, quien es Jesucristo.
PARA REFLEXIONAR: ¿Soy consciente que la verdadera vida va mucho más allá de esta existencia terrenal?

Solomon, and as old, depressed and tired man looked deeply reflected on their efforts and achievements, and the degree of contentment that had reached in their old age. Solomon concludes that everything, absolutely everything, is vanity, and it is like chasing the wind; however, through penalties and crannies of a life lived in the sun, once again resurfaces in divine wisdom Solomon.
Solomon adds another interesting point. «Remember your Creator before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher crashing into the source and pieces done pulley Well then The dust returns to the land was like before, and the spirit returns to God, who gave it «(Ecclesiastes 12: 6-7)..
Five of these six images are about decomposition;
• the silver cord broken,
• vessel broken gold,
• pitcher crashed into the fountain,
• torn pulley shaft,
• return the dust to the ground.
Solomon is talking about dying. All that is material perish but our spirit, which returns to God who gave it.
The writer of Hebrews says, «And as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this the judgment …» (Hebrews 9:27).
On that day, the biggest concern is the condition in which our spirit returns to God. We have nothing to bring our property; all we have is the righteousness of Christ was imputed to us by the Holy Spirit.
Solomon, a man blessed with the gift of wisdom, intensely sought the meaning of life, first with God and then separated from God.
In the end, Solomon comes to an irrefutable conclusion:
«Remember your Creator … because this is the whole man.»
The reason I believe in a creator is because God has revealed Himself in creation, in Scripture, in our consciousness and in Jesus Christ.
Abraham Lincoln wrote: «I never contemplate the stars without feeling that I am seeing the face of God I can understand a man to look evil on earth and be an atheist, but I can not conceive that a man to look up to heaven and say.» No no God «The reality is that God created us;.. He knows us and loves us, and Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that He has put eternity in our hearts the above, it is telling us that real life goes far beyond this earthly existence, something much larger, outside of us, a real life that we need to connect.
«Remember your Creator» concludes Solomon, and there is nothing else for us to find, because it is God who is eternal, and it is only God who fills this painful gap in our lives, and who provides the road connecting with this earthly existence real life.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for having created me and for providing me the only way to eternal life, who is Jesus Christ.
For reflection: Am I aware that real life goes far beyond this earthly existence?
