«El que es fiel en lo muy poco, también en lo más es fiel.» Lucas 16:10
Johann Sebastian Bach compuso más de 1,100 obras musicales en su vida. Era organista de iglesia, padre de 20 hijos y trabajaba con recursos limitados. Lo que distingue su trabajo no es solo su genialidad, sino que al final de cada partitura escribía las mismas letras: S.D.G. — Soli Deo Gloria. Solo a Dios la gloria. Bach no componía para la fama; él componía para un Público de uno. Su fidelidad cotidiana a la excelencia, hecha en secreto y sin garantía de reconocimiento humano, produjo obras que el mundo no ha podido olvidar en tres siglos.
Jesús vincula la fidelidad en lo pequeño con la confianza en lo grande. No dice que Dios te dará más cuando seas más exitoso; dice que te confiará más cuando demuestres ser fiel en lo que ya tienes. La fidelidad no tiene que ver con el tamaño de la responsabilidad sino con la calidad del corazón que la ejecuta.
Vivimos en una cultura que idolatra lo grande, lo viral y lo espectacular. Pero el reino de Dios funciona diferente: avanza a través de personas fieles en lo ordinario, en lo repetitivo, en lo invisible. El maestro que prepara la misma lección año tras año. La madre que ora cada noche por sus hijos. El líder que llega primero y se va último sin que nadie lo vea.
¿Cómo estás siendo fiel hoy en lo pequeño? En tu matrimonio, en tu trabajo, en tu ministerio, en tu vida secreta de oración. Dios no evalúa tu fidelidad comparándote con otros — te evalúa comparándote con lo que te ha dado. Lo que tienes en tus manos hoy, manejado con excelencia y entregado a Dios, puede cambiar la eternidad de personas que todavía no conoces.
Recuerda: «No desprecies el día de los comienzos pequeños los grandes árboles crecen de semillas invisibles.»
Oremos:
Dios, ayúdame a ser fiel en lo que parece insignificante. Que haga cada tarea, pequeña o grande, como si fuera para Ti, porque lo es. Forma en mí el carácter del siervo fiel. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén.

Johann Sebastian Bach composed more than 1,100 musical works in his lifetime. He was a church organist, the father of 20 children, and worked with limited resources. What distinguishes his work is not only his genius — it is that at the end of every score he wrote the same letters: S.D.G. — Soli Deo Gloria. To God alone be the glory. Bach did not compose for fame; he composed for an Audience of One. His daily faithfulness to excellence, carried out in obscurity and without any guarantee of human recognition, produced works the world has not been able to forget in three centuries.
Jesus connects faithfulness in small things with being entrusted with greater things. He does not say God will give you more when you are more successful — He says God will entrust you with more when you prove faithful in what you already have. Faithfulness has nothing to do with the size of responsibility; it has everything to do with the quality of the heart that carries it out.
We live in a culture that idolizes the great, the viral, and the spectacular. But the kingdom of God works differently — it advances through people who are faithful in the ordinary, the repetitive, and the invisible. The teacher who prepares the same lesson year after year. The mother who prays every night for her children. The leader who arrives first and leaves last without anyone noticing.
How are you being faithful today in the small things? In your marriage, your work, your ministry, your secret life of prayer? God does not evaluate your faithfulness by comparing you to others — He evaluates you in comparison to what He has given you. What you hold in your hands today, handled with excellence and surrendered to God, can change the eternity of people you have not yet met.
Remember: «Do not despise the day of small beginnings — great trees grow from invisible seeds.»
Let us pray:
God, help me to be faithful in what seems insignificant. May I do every task — small or great — as if I were doing it for You, because I am. Form in me the character of the faithful servant. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
